SALT WORTH HEALTH COLLABORATES WITH ABC FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE FREE FIRST AID TRAINING.

On Tuesday, 8th of November 2016, ABC Foundation played host to Dr. Oyedele of Saltworth Health Care U.K. who conducted free first aid training for over 50 individuals comprising of ABC Nursing Assistants, Support staff and other members of the general public.

Dr. Oyedele’s presentation focused on essential actions to take when confronted with individuals experiencing heart attacks, strokes, choking, fainting and seizures. Theoretical and practical presentations were made illustrating some of the causes and symptoms of the above-mentioned ailments.

Practical demonstrations involving all the participants were made for each situation, this was to ensure participants would be confident to act if found in any of these situations.

Dr. Oyedele utilized the F.A.S.T acronym when discussing the body parts usually affect by stroke, she mentioned this could be used to identify an ailment like a stroke. The F.A.S.T. acronym means Face, Arms, Speech and Time to act fast.
