Members of the Foundation were in attendance and fully participated in the CEAFON 2nd Cancer Summit, held on the 5th and 6th of October 2016 at the Yar’ Adua Centre in Abuja. The summit was aimed at addressing the major challenges of diagnosis and treatment for breast and cervical cancer in Nigeria, which account for about 50% of all female cancers in Nigeria.
Dr. Sola Oriniowo; Project and Funding Coordinator and Miss Adetoun Adele on behalf of Mrs Dolapo Oyedipe represented the Foundation at the Summit.
Dr. Oriniowo made a quick presentation on Day 2 of the Summit, his address was focused on the benefits and highly subsidised cost of Human Papilloma Virus Screening at the Foundation’s headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria. The abstract of research conducted by the Foundation, titled “Good medical Practice: An irreplaceable component in how NGO’s operate” was submitted and accepted for presentation.
